Research in this area is aimed at coupling multiple instruments and datasets to ultimately provide a better understanding of the subsurface. Thus, we are exploring and combining the best features of each geophysical tool to obtain a more precise model of the subsurface.

The Power of GPR

One research focus is in the area of Ground Penetrating Radar. We are experimenting with novel ways to collect, process and use gpr data. For instance, finding a way to reduce data acquisition time would allow GPR to be used in previously inaccessible areas.

Multispectral Data is the Future

We continue to investigate the capabilities of optical satellite imagery as it relates to environmental monitoring. Multispectral data is manipulated to best meet monitoring requirements. Also essential, is the development of an online interactive imajery portal to allow users easy access to their data.
